What began as a simple step of obedience has grown into a vibrant move of God. In October of 2022, Pastor C.L. Grear posted a prayer video on Instagram, lifting up the city of Baytown, Texas. That one prayer ignited something unexpected. Soon after, a small group of 33 complete strangers gathered at the very first interest meeting to hear the vision of a new church being planted in their city—one that would be rooted in prayer, passionate about worship, grounded in the Word, and committed to outreach.
Today, that vision lives on through an emerging, Spirit-filled church family called One Church, located in the East Houston - Baytown Metro, "Where Many Become ONE.” Worship and prayer are at the heart of all we do, and faith is our message as we bring hope and healing to the greater eastside of the region.
Through events like the Baytown Block Party, we’ve had the honor of feeding large groups of adults and children in our city. And when Hurricane Beryl struck, we partnered with the Houston Food Bank to bring vital resources and meals to those affected. This positively impacted about 400 residences, bring relief in one single day.
We believe this is only the beginning. Welcome to One Church.
Mission, Vision, & Goals
THE MISSION: One Church HTX exists to bring people together from every background into one family with the message of faith across Houston. We invest in people, build leaders who multiply, and create spaces where worship, word, and community collide.
THE VISION: Our vision is to continue One Church HTX as an intergenerational, intercultural, and interdenominational movement that teaches people expressions of faith, transforms lives, strengthens families, and raises leaders who shape culture.
THE GOAL: Our vision is to be a multisite church serving Houston through campuses in Baytown, the Bay Area, Fort Bend, and Cypress. We believe healthy, life-giving churches in these communities will reach thousands for Christ.
